Canon M50 Mark II suits travel, landscape, Sports & Wildlife Photography.
There isn’t much new in the Canon EOS M50 Mark II over the original. There are only minimal improvements in quality of life, such as support for clean HDMI output, eye tracking AF in the video, and slightly longer battery life, compared to the previous model.
Travel Photography
Travel photography with the Canon EOS M50 Mark II is a breeze. It’s incredibly portable for travel with its accompanying kit lens and can fit into most tiny camera bags.
In addition, it features a robust autofocus mechanism that does a good job of tracking moving things and offers excellent image quality.
Unfortunately, its battery life falls short of expectations, but this might vary greatly depending on how the device is used in the real world.
Landscape Photography
Landscape photography is an excellent fit for the Canon EOS M50 Mark II. The camera’s incredible dynamic range helps to bring out the finer details in landscape images.
The camera’s noise reduction at higher ISO settings is ideal for low-light shooting. It’s also fairly portable, with a reasonably small design that makes it easy to transport to isolated filming sites.
Unfortunately, the battery life isn’t great. However, this depends on the settings and the way you use it.
Sport & Wildlife Photography
Sport and wildlife photographers will appreciate the Canon EOS M50 Mark II. It offers superb image quality, with good noise management capacity at higher ISO levels.
In terms of size, it’s also relatively compact. However, the rate at which it fires is barely adequate. So if you’re trying to capture a short moment, you may run out of space in the camera’s buffer. It also lacks a quiet continuous shooting option, meaning it may startle off wildlife.
